The quintessential winter flower, the camellia, with her showy petals and cheerful yellow centre. I never tire of painting these blooms with their waxy foliage and love the organic and free flowing nature of their asymmetrical structure. They dominate my winter garden giving flamboyant colour while all else sleeps.
Inspired by home grown flowers and mid-century ‘vintage’ decor.
